Thank you for considering a donation to KETCH. We are grateful for the generosity of our community and the many individuals, families, and businesses who support our mission.
Questions about a potential donation? Please contact KETCH before delivering any items. Our team can help determine whether a donation meets current needs and acceptance guidelines. Photos may be requested prior to approval.
To ensure our homes and program spaces remain safe, comfortable, and dignified for the individuals we serve, we are only able to accept certain donated items. Because storage space is limited and program needs vary, all donations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Furniture Donations
Our goal is to create welcoming residential and program environments where individuals can feel comfortable and proud of their surroundings.
Furniture We May Be Able to Accept
- Sofas, loveseats, recliners, and chairs in excellent condition
- Microfiber, vinyl, leather, or other durable, easily cleanable materials
- Dining tables and chairs in good condition
- Dressers, nightstands, and other sturdy household furniture
Furniture We Are Unable to Accept
- Furniture with stains, tears, odors, pet damage, or excessive wear
- Fabric or upholstered items that cannot be easily cleaned or sanitized
- Furniture requiring repairs or refurbishment
- Mattresses or box springs
- Bed frames
- Items that are outdated, heavily worn, or not suitable for a residential setting
Because some individuals we support may experience mobility, health, or incontinence-related challenges, furniture must be durable and capable of being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
Appliances & Electronics Donations
For the safety of the individuals we serve and to help us maintain sanitary, reliable environments, we are limited in the appliances and electronics we can accept.
Items We May Be Able to Accept
- New or like-new small appliances in original packaging
- Televisions and electronics that are fully functional and in excellent condition
- Fans and other household equipment that is clean, safe, and in good working order
Items We Are Unable to Accept
- Used kitchen appliances such as crock pots, air fryers, toaster ovens, coffee makers, blenders, mixers, and similar food-preparation equipment
- Used vacuum cleaners
- Space heaters (new or used)
- Appliances with missing parts, damaged cords, or unknown operating history
- Older electronics that are outdated, difficult to maintain, or no longer supported
- Items that are heavily used, unclean, or require repair
Because many of the individuals we support have food allergies, dietary restrictions, and other health considerations, we typically do not accept previously used food-preparation appliances. We also do not accept used vacuum cleaners due to sanitation concerns. For safety reasons, KETCH does not accept space heaters, regardless of condition.
Clothing Donations
While we greatly appreciate the generosity of our community, KETCH is unable to accept clothing donations, including apparel, shoes, and accessories.
Because KETCH is not a clothing distribution organization and has limited storage capacity, we are unable to sort, store, or manage clothing donations. Additionally, the individuals we serve have unique preferences, sizes, and support needs, making it difficult to effectively distribute donated clothing.
We encourage donors to support local organizations whose primary mission includes collecting and providing clothing to those in need.
Before You Donate
Please contact KETCH before delivering donated items. Photos may be requested prior to acceptance.
All donated items are accepted based on current program needs, available storage space, and the condition of the items offered. KETCH reserves the right to decline any donation.
Thank you for helping create welcoming environments where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can live, work, learn, and thrive.
